PCB containment and Abandonment of natural gas transmission equipment with Tripolymer 105-Tank Media.

The following demonstration shows several large sections of natural gas transmission equipment contaminated with PCB's.  These were filled and safely contained with Tripolymer TM (Tank Media) prior to their disposal.

After being dismantled, the equipment was moved to a separate area and each piece was carefully filled with Tripolymer TM to prevent the escape of any PCB's, and prevent the contamination of the surrounding environment during transportation to the final disposal site.

This picture shows a few of the high-pressure filter vessels after the Tripolymer has been installed.  The removal of a large flange show how the vessels were completely filled.

This final image shows the vessels sealed and ready for transport to the final disposal site.
