Tripolymer® Is the original synthetic tank abandonment media developed in 1972 by CP Chemical Co. Inc. and improved with assistance from the United States Department of Energy, under the Federal Non-Nuclear Energy Research and Development Act of 1974 (Public Law #93-577).

Tripolymer® is NOT a Urea-Formaldehyde product. Urea Formaldehyde foam products were prohibited from use in residential applications because of their toxic nature. When used in Oil Tank Abandonment , They lack the structural strength and permanence required as a permanent inert media. Tripolymer® is a Phenolic Based, solid inert media that does not emit any CFCs or VHCs during or after installation and is safe for our environment!

Tripolymer® Does not produce heat during the filling operation and Will NOT spontaneously ignite at any time... during or after installation. Tripolymer® is thermally stable and will not shrink or expand over time.

Tripolymer® 105-TM is non corrosive to steel, aluminum and copper. It is pH neutral and will not contribute to the deterioration of the vessel it has been installed in. Tripolymer® 105-TM gels in 30 to 60 seconds. Once cured no further chemical reactions can take place to change Tripolymer's® physical structure

No petro chemicals are used in the manufacturing of fireguard foam. Tripolymer® 105-TM is 100% water based and has been used for over 30 years nationwide as a permanent, inert, environmentally safe tank abandonment media.

Tripolymer® 105-TM materials and the equipment used for its installation were specifically designed to produce the highest quality foam product for use in underground oil tank abandonment.

Tripolymer®105-TM has the unique property of absorbing oil and many other petro chemicals at a rate of 40 times its own weight. What this means is that if the slightest amount of oil is left in the tank, 105-TM will soak it up and hold it in suspension indefinitely with no damage to it’s make up or cellular structure. No other oil tank abandonment product can claim this.

Many regulatory agencies on local and state levels have approved the use of Tripolymer® 105-TM as the safest and best method for in place, below ground oil tank abandonment.

Tripolymer® can be used to completely fill un-accessible tanks through remote fill lines up to 30 feet in length.
