SYSTEM DESCRIPTION:
A. Performance requirements:
1. Meet Factory Mutual Systems, Class A rating when tested in accord with
ASTM E84-86.
2. Water vapor transmission: 15.5 to 16.9 perms-in when tested in accord with
ASTM C355-84.
3. Surface burning characteristics when tested in accord with ASTM E84-86.

4. Thermal performance:
a. K-factor at 75 deg. F: 0.22
b. R-value: 4.9 @ 32°F per inch thickness, nominal.

QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A Qualifications:
1. Installer: Certified and trained by manufacturer with a minimum of 3 years
direct experience in the use of the Tripolymer product specified.
B. Certifications:
1. Certify material use no CFC's (chlorofluorocarbon) in chemical formulation
or installed product.
2. Materials contains no asbestos.
3. Certify material is a phenolic base co-polymer (non-urea formaldehyde).
1.07 DELIVERY, STORAGE. AND HANDLING: A. Packing and shipping: 1. Pack to protect from breakage and damage in shipping. 2. Provide materials in original unopened containers with manufacturer's labels intact and legible. B. Acceptance at site: 1. Unload materials; check for damage. 2. Open. punctured. or opened damaged containers will not be accepted. 3. Damaged materials determined from by visual inspection will not be accepted. 4. Remove rejected materials from site immediately. C. Storage and protection: 1. Store materials in dry area in manufacturer's protective packaging in original containers with labels and installation instructions intact. 2. Protect materials from freezing. Part 2 -Products

Part 3 -Execution 3.01 PREPARATION: A. Protection of construction activities specified in this section: 1. Protect partially completed or completed walls not being worked on with waterproof membrane until work of other trades completes protection of walls. Coordinate with construction activities specified in **Brick Unit Masonry** or** Architectural Concrete Unit Masonry** or** Concrete Unit Masonry sections . 2. Overhang wall at least 1'6" on each side of wall with covering; anchor on each side of wall. Provide cover of sufficient durability to withstand wind and rain. 3.02 INSTALLATION: A. Cavity wall: Install foam insulation in cavity between masonry wythes full thickness of cavity in fills not exceeding 15' -0" height as masonry walls are constructed in accord with manufacturer's installation instructions. B. Frame construction: Install foam insulation where indicated to thickness required for indicated R-Value~ or STC rating, install in accord with manufacturer's installation instructions. C. Core fill: 1. Install foam insulation in masonry cores full thickness, fills not exceeding 15'-0" height as masonry walls are constructed in accord with manufacturer's installation instructions, -OR- 2. Drill holes in C.M.U. face shell or in mortar joint around entire wall area
approximatelyfive feet (5ft) from floor level. Repeat at height no greater than
fifteen feet (15 ft) in vertical height until completion of wall area fill cores completely
with foam insulation. Patch holes flush to match adjacent material.
