Part 3 -Execution

3.01 PREPARATION:

A. Protection of construction activities specified in this section:
	1. Protect partially completed or completed walls not being worked on with
waterproof membrane until work of other trades completes protection of walls.
Coordinate with construction activities specified in **Brick Unit Masonry**
or** Architectural Concrete Unit Masonry** or** Concrete Unit Masonry sections
.
	2. Overhang wall at least 1'6" on each side of wall with covering; anchor on each
side of wall. Provide cover of sufficient durability to withstand wind and rain.

3.02 INSTALLATION:

A. Cavity wall: Install foam insulation in cavity between masonry wythes full thickness
of cavity in fills not exceeding 15' -0" height as masonry walls are constructed in
accord with manufacturer's installation instructions.

B. Frame construction: Install foam insulation where indicated to thickness required
for indicated R-Value~ or STC rating, install in accord with manufacturer's installation instructions.

C. Core fill:
	1. Install foam insulation in masonry cores full thickness, fills not exceeding
15'-0" height as masonry walls are constructed in accord with manufacturer's
	installation instructions,
	-OR-
	2. Drill holes in C.M.U. face shell or in mortar joint around entire wall area
approximatelyfive feet (5ft) from floor level. Repeat at height no greater than
fifteen feet (15 ft) in vertical height until completion of wall area fill cores completely
with foam insulation. Patch holes flush to match adjacent material.
